Health & Hygiene
Promoting Health, Preserving Dignity
Access to basic healthcare is still a distant dream for many in India’s rural and tribal communities. Long distances, low awareness, and lack of infrastructure prevent timely medical attention, especially for women and children. Dhara Sansthan is committed to closing this gap through its grassroots health and hygiene initiatives.
Our flagship Mobile Health Van program brings primary healthcare directly to remote villages. Staffed with qualified medical professionals, the vans offer consultations, screenings, medicine distribution, and referrals. We also conduct health camps focusing on maternal care, child health, and elderly support.
Menstrual hygiene management is another key focus. Through our Menstrual Health Express and Project Baala, we educate adolescent girls and women on menstrual health and distribute eco-friendly sanitary products. These programs not only promote hygiene but also challenge taboos and ensure dignity.
We also work to raise awareness around mental health, sanitation, and waterborne diseases through workshops, school programs, and community sessions. Our partnerships with local health authorities ensure that our interventions are aligned with national health policies and standards.
By promoting preventive healthcare and building community awareness, Dhara Sansthan empowers individuals to take charge of their well-being. We believe that health is not a privilege, but a right—and our work ensures that right reaches every corner we serve.
